1. Morning Ritual:
 Begin a daily morning practice—a ritual to set sail each day in the right direction, guided by your intention (values).

  1. First, get your coffee or tea, come to your special ritual space, and open your book. Set your timer for 10 minutes. For the first 10, you will read something which grounds you and reminds you what's Important. Begin with a reading which drops you into the truth, a daily affirmation, a spiritual text, or a philosophy you align with.

  2. Then next 10 minutes- move, do yoga, stretch, and/or kundalini kriya.

  3. The last 10, sit. Set your alarm 10 minutes earlier, and sit. Meditation calms the mind, creates space, and settles chaos. Meditation is proven to increase well-being and quality of life. For more on how to get started with a practice:  5 Steps to starting a meditation practice

2. Belong to a supportive community: JOIN a group, a supportive community that aligns with your values, find something meaningful, and become a part of it: This often takes the form of a spiritual organization, church, synagogue, ashram, meditation sangha, or charity...

3. DECIDE to take action. Decide to kick the habit, improve your relationship, increase your self-esteem, run a marathon, meditate, or read to your children every night. Whatever it is, stop contemplating it, mulling it over, and decide whether to change or not. The thing that separates the people who want to change from those who do change is simply DECISION.

There is nothing special about those who have success; it's just a decision. Let me repeat that:

There is nothing special about those who have success.

They are no different from you! In fact, they are you.

Decide to do whatever it takes to make your commitment a reality.

Nothing will happen until then.

When this step is thorough, the action part is cake.

4. PRACTICE: Practice doesn't make perfect, but practice does make permanent. Whatever you wished for last year or the years before this one, if you practice it consistently in 2023, from this day forward, February 1, 2023 (daily is best). If you turn your ship in that direction and do this from here till December 31, 2023, and don’t look back, your life will look very different in 11 months. You will be in a completely different place.

If you wish for confidence, wealth, or health practice it.

If you wish for high energy, strength, and endurance practice it.

No matter what happened yesterday, you are in charge of yourself now. You are calling the shots for your life and are responsible for your choices and behaviors. Period.  You can decide to improve the ways that you are living or not. It is up to you to become an adult, to become more or less conscious, or not.
